THE ORGANIC JAM form a mosaic of music through the partnership of top international DJs and world leading virtuoso musicians talented in improvisation. In love with pushing the bounderies of background to foreground music, they pride themselves on non-rehearsals & instead prefer to follow the mood and atmosphere of the audience, improvising as they go, throwing in samples and sound effects to create a completely fresh and unique experience for every event. They like to describe themselves as an antidote to modern day clubbing & chill-out fatigue after seeing onslaughts of live performances with just one man and a computer isolating themselves by one music style.
Flipping this concept on it’s head, THE ORGANIC JAM’s passion is to adventure into sound, unrestricted by music genres by fusing together elements of electronica, soundtracks, bossa, techno, swing, pop, obscure, classical, minimal, electro, blues, dub step and tango, lifting the tempo when felt to bring in hybrid sounds of brazilian & afro tech house, broken beats, nu disco and indie dance. Embarking on a journey into the unchartered, THE ORGANIC JAM explore a universe filled with avant-garde horn solos, intricate percussion patterns, lush sonic textures & willowy basslines, glitchy vibraphones & raindrops immersed in extraordinary soundscapes & crystal clear synths to create a truly eclectic blend of chill out and dance music.
Introducing violin, trumpet, guitar, cello, double bass, flute, saxophone, clarinet, percussion, harp and synths into their mix, THE ORGANIC JAM collective has grown selectively, handpicking an array of musicians from some of the biggest artists/clubs/labels on the planet to create a band that has the rare mix of talent, diversity and flexibility to tailor their music perfectly for your night and beyond….

In the last 5 years THE ORGANIC JAM have introduced improvised electronic music into the Tate Modern, Buckingham Palace, National History Museum, Royal Acadamy of Art and many of the most prestigious venues across Europe. In 2007 they won ‘RSVP Best Music Act Of The Year’. Their continued success has won them sponsorship from TRAKTOR www.native-instruments.com & TONIUM www.pacemaker.net and taken them all around the globe to perform to audiences from 50 to 50,000 for many of the world’s top clients – from the Baftas to Mark Ronson to the premier of ‘Sex in the City’, and this year earning themselves a second residency at Somerset House and London Fashion Week.
THE ORGANIC JAM is headed by DJ/producer/music director Carlo Rossi. Graduating from Central St Martins School Of Art, Carlo moved to Paris to make non-narrative, soundtrack lead surf films for Surfneige and Planchemag – France’s premier surf magazines. A year later he moved to Los Angeles and began showing his work in exhibitions. This inspired him to organize and perform in events combining his love of installation & video art with live electronic music. The success of these events received rave reviews by LA’s newspapers and magazines as the beginning stepping stone of LA’s flourishing experiential scene. This lead him to organize and produce Morocco2001 – the first electronic music festival in Morocco held on an island in Quarzazate which brought together leading international electronic acts and contemporary artists from 52 countries around the world. Morocco2001 had an attendance of over 6000 over 4 days.
Moving back to the UK in 2002, Carlo continued creating events with a focus on bringing the arts and music ever closer together. DJing at many of the top clubs and festivals in the UK including the legendary Fabric lead him to a partnership with Organic Records in which he compiled & released the best selling and award winning chill-out compilation of 2005 -‘Tsunami’ which featured legendary chill out masters The Orb, Future Sound of London, Younger Brother, Infected Mushroom & The Egg – all profits went to the DEC in aid of the victims of the Tsunami that devastated south east asia. At the beginning of 2010 he compiled, produced and released ‘Haiti Appeal Project’ – a 3CD box set and digital download for the DEC – which included unreleased tracks featuring David Gilmour of Pink Floyd & Shpongle, 1 Giant Leap, Dnox and Beckers, Minilogue, John Monkman, Extrawelt and the who’s who of Chill Out and Electronica.
Carlo began MUSIC COUTURE two years ago as he became more involved with music directing and experiential sound design – MUSIC COUTURE’s passion is in designing soundtracks for brands, events and festivals looking to break the mold and in-turn create a dynamic and individual identity. From directing the music for the official unveiling of Frank Gehry’s master project – King Alfred, to placing the music for the first ever television advert for the A1 Grand Prix, they have gone onto designing soundtracks for Tom Aikens‘ restaurants, China White Cartier Polo Challenge, Randall & Aubin, A1 Grand Prix opening ceremony @ Brands Hatch, Fendi/De Beers/Princess Yachts fashion shows 2010/2011, Joseph Conran’s Andaz Hotels, Elizabeth Arden’s 100 year anniversary party, theRoyal Acadamy Summer Party 2007/2008/2009, Gilgamesh, Mitsubishi ICAR launch, the CNN Awards and GM’s Volt Dubai launch.
