Bloem aims to elevate dancefloors around the world to a state of positive
energy and movement.
She’s held down residencies at Scorpios Mykonos for 2 years in a
row and the iconic Nomade Tulum as well as played a number of high
profile gigs Tomorrowland, Edition Hotel Miami Art Basel, MixMag
Lab New York, Ondalinda Careyes, Boneca, and played alongside
headliners, Lee Burridge, Rampue, Bedouin, Satori, Guy Laliberte,
Behrouz, Audiofly to name a few.

BIOGRAPHY

Growing up, Taryn’s ears rang with the jazzy sounds coming from her musician, drummer father. This early influence has created an undeniable skill for recognizing, and using to her advantage, real musical elements within the electronic music scene. Born in South Africa, Taryn showed her first hand of musical cards in 2007 as part of female duo, Blush N Bass. The duo gigged all over the country in SA and in internationally and have played alongside many top international acts such as: Avicii, Two Door Cinema Club, Clouds, DJ Yoda and more.

Miss Pickett is her solo project, which has been based in London since 2010. She has played at some of the countries top clubs/ festivals such as Bestival, KOKO, Ministry of Sound, Cuckoo, Salon, The Nest, Cargo etc with world renown artists such as Matt Tolfrey, Amine Edge, Eric Volta, Claude VonStroke, Steve Aoki, Punks Jump Up, Jerry Bouthier, Larry Tee and more. As well as high profile gigs in Ibiza at Destino, Monaco for the Grand Prix and Cannes Film Festival. She has also held down residencies in New York at some of the top clubs and bars from warehouse parties in Brooklyn to Mister H, Le Baron, Soaked at The Mondrian to name a few. She is currently the regular resident DJ at the successful Love Brunch events and Sanderson.

Her musical signature flirts with the quirky and weird, from Nu Disco, to Deep House/ Funky Disco /Classics, she always brings it home and grounds it with a solid, yet intricate soundscape.
Her keen instincts and impeccable ability to read the crowd with her combination of music styles and influences, shows both her passion for music and dedication to her art.
