Jess Wood is a versatile percussionist based in London. She graduated with First-Class Honours from the Royal College of Music in London, where she held two scholarships and was awarded the prestigious Tagore Gold Medal.
Jess has since held the percussion/drum chair on numerous major west end productions, including Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Back to the Future, Aspects of Love, and most recently Hello, Dolly!.
Alongside her theatre work, Jess performs regularly with leading orchestras including the BBC Symphony Orchestra, Royal Opera House Orchestra, John Wilson Orchestra, Sinfonia of London, and the London Sinfonietta.
Extending beyond classical and theatrical settings, Jess is also an accomplished pop percussionist. She is a member of the house band for the American TV show Don’t Forget the Lyrics and performs regularly with the band Tropic Thunder as well as delivering high-energy live percussion alongside DJs.
